End-of-life for Flash Unforunately, with the end-of-life for flash happening at midnight tonight, I have no choice but to retire a bunch of projects, including CT2.0 and Inquiry. I simply don't have the time in my schedule to re-code these in a different language. Thanks for the support over the years, and I'm sorry that I won't be able to maintain or develop these kinds of pedagogical tools any more. (updated 12/31/2019) Side Project - College Deliberately I started a college search website called 'College Deliberately' (https://deliberately.college) based on textmining college websites for academic values in 2017. We went 'live' in 2019. Director of Honors - Ferris State University We moved to Rockford, MI in 2013, to start a position as Director of the Honors Program at Ferris State University. New house, new projects. (updated 06/05/2017) Tenure I was awarded tenure by McDaniel College in May of 2010. We're still in Westminster, and are still working on the house! (updated 06/08/04)We've Moved! In the last few months, we have purchased a house, packed up all our belongings, and moved to Maryland! If you want to look in our progress with the house and the move, visit the 'house' site by clicking here. (updated 2/26/04)We're Moving (again)! I have accepted a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of Philosophy at McDaniel College in Westminster, MD. McDaniel (formerly known as 'Western Maryland College') is a small, selective liberal arts college, similar to Antioch in both mission and academic culture. We are thrilled to be settling down into our new life, and are very excited about joining the community of McDaniel College. I'll post new address / contact information as it becomes available. After completing and defending my Dissertation at Temple University in May, 2002, Tara and I moved to St. Louis, where I took a job as a Post Doctoral Research Fellowship in the PNP Program at Washington University. At Wash U, I worked with Bill Bechtel, Adele Abrahamson and Carl Craver on a FIPSE (Fund for the Improvement of Post-Secondary Education) Grant to develop a new interdisciplinary research methods course for cognitive science. You can look in on our progress here.We were married on 5/23/2003 at the City Museum in St Louis, MO. Click here to visit our wedding website. There are a number of pictures available, of both the wedding and our honeymoon in St Lucia. |
